Evolution Measurement has upgraded its ProCap aerodynamics 3D flow measurement and visualization system, launching ProCap 3.2. The company says the system represents a leap forward in precision and usability, offering a suite of powerful new features to enhance data visualization, streamline workflow and deliver a highly intuitive user interface.
The ProCap 3.2 Professional features surface flow maps, with surface projections to enable real-time mapping of measured data such as velocity and static pressure directly onto model surfaces. This feature aims to provide deeper insight into flow characteristics and enhance analytical capabilities.
Development of the upgraded system took into account user feedback. Evolution Measurement says the interface is fast, fluid and fully interactive, allowing users to preview changes and make reversible adjustments for a more efficient and intuitive setup experience. This feature is available in both the compact and the professional version.
The system features enhanced data analysis tools that include adjustable transparency for model geometries and isosurfaces, as well as improved line rendering for streamlines. These enhancements enable users to better interpret complex flow fields and streamline configurations. The system update also aims to improve data handling with active COM-port listings, user-defined thresholds on incoming data and enhanced options for appending data to stored files.
