An Acura Integra Type S with prototype performance parts under development by Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) is racing the iconic 2025 Tire Rack One Lap of America. Last year, HRC announced it had created a new business to produce authentic HRC Performance Parts for customer use in street, track and off-road applications.
The extreme conditions of the grueling week-long event, taking place May 3-10 and covering more than 3,000 miles across timed events on nine racetracks across the Midwest, will test the performance and durability of the prototype HRC Performance Parts. Alongside the Acura Integra Type S, a TLX Type S will also compete.
The Integra is fitted with Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS tires – the flagship Potenza product designed to enable grassroots racing, and developed with track day, autocross and endurance racing drivers in mind.
The Acura Integra Type S is driven by Justyn Bobinski and Chad Gilsinger, both vehicle dynamic test engineers at the Honda North American Automotive Development Center (ADC) in Ohio. Fellow ADC engineers Clay Duval and Brian Penza are piloting an Acura TLX Type S.
The TLX Type S features a turbocharged 355hp V6 engine and super handling all-wheel drive (SH-AWD) with true torque-vectoring. The TLX is running Bridgestone Potenza Sports, designed to provide wet and dry performance with enhanced cornering and improved dry braking.
