Purpose of the Role
The Technical Support Engineer represents technical requirements of customer projects.

Being the pivotal link between customers in the field and 2D’s internal structure, the engineer maximises the product value for 2D’s customers through solution oriented communication in both directions.


Principal Accountabilities

  • Putting 2D measurement systems into operation and setting them up, according to the customer’s requirements.
  • Supporting and championing the 2D Software suite, including logger configuration, data analysis, Android; iOS and Windows telemetry tool and 2D IoT cloud services.
  • Gathering the right level of detail about issues in the field to enable our 2nd line support to effectively troubleshoot problems.
  • Reviewing log files and using test environments to simulate track side scenarios.
  • Translating customer’s requirements from real world language into 2D’s scripting language.
  • Accepts responsibility for delivering own area of work and results, even if difficulties arise.
  • Occasional travel and some out of hours working, depending on project commitments.
  • Supporting marketing, when technical sales material are created.


Knowledge, Skills, Qualification and Experience

  • Familiarity with mathematical models of real world scenarios.
  • Familiarity with data processing and analysis tools and/or scripting languages (MatLab, Python, VBA, 2D, etc.).
  • Understanding of basic sensor functions (e.g. position, pressure, inertial, force sensors, etc.).
