Cosworth Electronics: From product launches at PMW Expo to new business awards

Cosworth Electronics explains how PMW Expo supports technology launches, customer conversations and the long-term relationships behind future commercial opportunities

Cosworth Electronics develops advanced data and control systems for motorsport and high-performance vehicle applications. With more than three decades of performance electronics experience, the company has a motorsport portfolio that covers areas including control, data logging, power management, displays, steering wheels, sensors and software. Its systems support teams, vehicle manufacturers and championships operating across some of the most technically demanding areas of the industry.

Cosworth Electronics has also become a regular presence at PMW Expo. Across multiple editions, the company has used the event to present new technology, communicate its product roadmap and meet customers and partners from across the motorsport and high-performance automotive market.

The value of that presence is not limited to what happens on the stand during the two days. Conversations started at PMW Expo have helped Cosworth Electronics identify new opportunities, understand future customer requirements and develop relationships that can produce commercial results over a much longer period.

A concentrated audience over two days

Cosworth Electronics values PMW Expo because it brings relevant parts of the motorsport and high-performance automotive community together in one place.

Leaders and decision-makers attend alongside engineers, customers, technology partners and specialist suppliers, enabling the Cosworth Electronics team to hold a significant number of relevant conversations over the course of the event.

For the company, those conversations support several objectives. They provide an opportunity to raise awareness of its capabilities, explain upcoming technologies and product roadmaps, explore potential partnerships and gain further insight into the direction of the market.

This concentration of relevant people is particularly important. One conversation may focus on an existing customer program, while another may reveal a requirement or collaboration that was not visible before the event.

Launching new technology at PMW Expo

PMW Expo has also provided Cosworth Electronics with a platform for major product announcements.

At the 2024 event, the company introduced its Antares 4 and Antares 6 engine control units. The products went on to win the Powertrain Technology of the Year category at that year’s PMW Awards, with judges recognizing the range of powertrain applications and control capabilities offered by the new units.

Cosworth Electronics returned in 2025 with two further launches: its first dedicated GT Steering Wheel and the Centaurus 3 Power Distribution Module.

The development of the GT Steering Wheel drew from Cosworth’s experience with Formula racing, prototypes and hypercar programs and adapted it for the requirements of the GT market. Centaurus 3 extended the company’s power-management range with a product designed to make advanced control and monitoring capabilities accessible to a wider range of motorsport applications.

These launches illustrate how Cosworth Electronics uses PMW Expo as more than a location for displaying established products. The event places new technology directly in front of an audience that can discuss its application, integration and relevance to current or upcoming vehicle programs.

The company says that previous PMW Expo appearances have been successful in supporting new technology and product announcements while also creating opportunities to explore partnerships and potential areas of collaboration.

Revealing opportunities that are not always visible

Cosworth Electronics has a structured process for recording and developing leads. However, the company also recognizes that some of the most valuable opportunities cannot be identified before an event begins.

PMW Expo provides the setting for those less visible opportunities to emerge through networking and face-to-face discussion.

Existing customers also use the show to share information about their plans and future requirements. These conversations can create a starting point for further technical engagement and give Cosworth Electronics a clearer understanding of how its capabilities could support future projects.

It means the value of a conversation cannot always be measured by whether it begins as a formal sales enquiry. A discussion about a product roadmap, a developing technical requirement or a future program may become commercially important only after the event.

Audience quality and global reach

Cosworth Electronics specifically values the quality of the attendees, exhibitors and speakers at PMW Expo, as well as the international reach of the event.

This combination makes the show compelling for a business that operates across global motorsport and high-performance automotive markets. It enables Cosworth Electronics to maintain established relationships while also meeting new organizations and contacts from outside its immediate network.

Commercial results develop beyond the show floor

The clearest evidence of PMW Expo’s longer-term commercial value comes from what has happened after the event.

Cosworth Electronics confirmed, “We have seen new business awards because of new product announcements and customer engagement at PMW Expo.”

The company is equally realistic about how those results develop. Significant motorsport and automotive opportunities take time to progress and exhibitors do not typically leave the event with a new purchase order already agreed.

Instead, the commercial process may begin with a product launch, a conversation about a future requirement or an introduction to a potential partner. Further technical and commercial discussions then continue after the event before a contract or purchase order is eventually secured.

For Cosworth Electronics, return on investment therefore extends beyond an immediate sales figure. PMW Expo helps the market understand the company’s capabilities, technologies and future product direction. It also provides an opportunity to maintain trusted customer relationships and begin developing new ones.

For other specialist technology suppliers, Cosworth Electronics’ experience presents a realistic picture of the role PMW Expo can play. The event is not simply about collecting contacts or securing instant orders. Its value lies in placing new technology in front of relevant people and creating conversations that can develop into meaningful long-term opportunities.

Meet Cosworth Electronics at PMW Expo 2026

Cosworth Electronics will return to PMW Expo 2026, which will take place on November 11 and 12, 2026, in Hall 10.1 at the Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.

Visitors will be able to meet the team on stand 2084 and discuss the company’s latest motorsport electronics, data and control technologies.
