SHOW LIVE: New Intelligent Alternator Unveiled

McLaren Applied Technologies showcased its brand new intelligent alternator that utilises CANBus communcations at the 2015 Professional MotorSport World Expo. The unit has been designed in response to the increased demands that are put on alternators since the introduction of Lithium-ion batteries.

McLaren has developed intelligent alternators with CANBus communications to enable greater control, with features including control of output voltage, over Temperature protection, diagnostics of temperature and Voltage.

This technology will be added to the existing high output and durable G-Type and K-Type Alternator produced by McLaren.
