The Sensor Connection, a division of Harold G Schaevitz Industries, has launched the EGT-SW series extreme-duty racing exhaust gas temperature (EGT) probe, designed to meet the demands of professional racing, marine applications and over-the-road trucking.
The EGT-SW series’s foul-proof sensing tip has been designed to enable reliable EGT temperature measurements, even with sulfuric fuels like diesel or biodiesel. The sensor features a probe diameter of 0.25in (6.35mm) swaged to 0.125in (3.18mm) for enhanced durability, and its stainless steel over-braided cable has been designed to provide heavy-duty abrasion resistance.
The FEP-insulated signal wires ensure consistent performance under extreme vibration and heat – the sensor is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 2,300°F (1,300°C). The probe is constructed with Inconel 600 protective sheathing and 316 stainless steel adjustable compression fitting.
The sensor has been designed for a variety of high-performance and industrial applications, such as professional racing teams, R&D test labs and automotive enthusiasts.
