Race team United Autosports has announced the appointment of Jakob Andreasen as its new technical director. He succeeds former Ferrari Formula 1 race engineer Dave Greenwood with immediate effect.

Andreasen will head up the engineering department and be responsible for working across all of the team’s racing operations, including the LMP2 in FIA WEC and ELMS, and the LMP3 projects in LMC.

Andreasen brings with him 17 years of motorsport experience which includes work within Formula 1 and more recently with Toyota Gazoo Racing, the reigning champions of the Le Mans 24 Hours. United Autosport believes Andreasen will strengthen the team’s technical department.

“We are delighted to have Jakob join our team,” added Richard Dean, co-owner, United Autosports. “We are always looking to improve and to have the very best people join us. Jakob brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our team, and I know that we can continue to challenge for titles when we continue to bring quality people into our company.”
