AP Racing launches new pedal box design
AP Racing has introduced a new range of floor-mounted pedal boxes. The Floor Mounted Push Type Pedal Box Range (CP5500) has been designed as a generic racing pedal box with both comfort and control in mind. The units feature machined-billet base plates and pedals with adjustable footpads, which allow for pedal ratios and spacing to be altered. The ergonomically efficient unit benefits from ball bearing pivots throughout and is both lighter and narrower than the models it replaces. It also features adjustable travel stops on the throttle and clutch pedals. “We are very pleased with the new design of the floor mounted pedal boxes,” said Norman Barker, director of sales and marketing at AP Racing. “The updates made to the base plate, pedals and footpads when combined with the low friction treatments, ball bearing pivots, and high quality spherical balance bar bearing as well as an overall lower weight, set a high standard in pedal box efficiency.”
