The FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy has signed Total as the championship’s official lubricant partner. The new collaboration is a one-year regional partnership across the Nordics, UK, Germany, France and Argentina.

An extension of the lubricant company’s existing association with 2015 Teams’ Championship winners Team Peugeot-Hansen, the agreement with World RX will incorporate an array of additional rights across the Championship.

As part of the new partnership, Total will receive access to exclusive race footage which will be used to create bespoke content showcasing Total Lubricant performance in the Team Peugeot-Hansen Supercars.

“At Total we pride ourselves on being at the cutting edge of innovation and technology in motorsports,” explained Eric Reverberi, rally and endurance director for Total Motorsport. “This new regional partnership with IMG in World RX provides a fantastic new opportunity for us to develop the visibility of our lubricant brand. With the World RX platform, our local affiliates and all their guests will live a great and unique motorsport experience.”

“It’s an honour to partner with a pioneering company such as Total at World Championship level who have such a rich history in motorsport,” added Paul Bellamy, World RX managing director for IMG. “With Total’s wealth of experience in the lubricants industry, this extension to their World RX footprint makes perfect sense. We very much look forward to working with them in what we hope will become a long-standing global association in World RX across both fuels and lubricants.”
