California-based motorsport company Forte Racing is to participate in the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship in the #78 Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2.

The new team will enter the series supported by Arrow Electronics and led by veteran open-wheel and sportscar team owner Shane Seneviratne and his championship-winning infrastructure at US RaceTronics (USRT).

Having had success in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo series, Arrow Electronics and USRT have now made the next progressive step to the IMSA GT3 series.

During the 2023 season Forte Racing will be supported by O’Gara, a Lamborghini retailer, and motorsport company Change Racing, which has had previous successes and race wins within the Super Trofeo and IMSA races.

“As Lamborghini Squadra Corse we are glad to welcome in GTD the team Forte, the crew is well known in our family, coming from successful seasons in our Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America; together with our junior and factory drivers involved with Forte, we are ready for this new challenge,” said Giorgio Sanna, motorsport director for Lamborghini Squadra Corse.
