SHOW LIVE: Van Der Lee expects greater turbo uptake within motorsport

Turbocharger system supplier Van Der Lee has said that turbocharger uptake will continue to grow within the motorsport industry. With tightening regulations on emissions forcing many series changes already, the Dutch company believes this trend will only continue.

Speaking on the first day of the Professional MotorSport World Expo, Maik van der Does, project engineer for the Dutch company said: “The downsizing trend will definitely become more important,” said Maik van der Does. “We have seen race series following that trend recently, and I think that we will see more and more series utilize turbo charging technology.”

The LMP1 and Formula 2 supplier has gained technical experience working across classes, regulations and requirements, which enables it to deliver in-house designed and custom-made turbo systems for works motorsport, single make series and club sport national series.
