Supercars confirms in-car warning light system for Bathurst 1000

The Australia Supercars Championship has revealed that each of the competing cars will be fitted with an in-car warning lights system at the Bathurst 1000.

Developed in collaboration with Motec and the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport over a two-year period, the technology has been trialled in previous events this season, but up until now the lights haven’t been made visible to the drivers.

The new technology will display key flag information to the drivers using a combination of yellow, red, green and blue flags. The series also plan to employ a warning for safety car deployment.

Supercars teams have been allowed to decide on how the information is shown to the driver, either through a dedicated module or through integration into the Motec dash.
