BMW M Motorsport debuts grassroots customer racer

LinkedIn +

BMW M Motorsport recently presented future plans for customer racing, announcing a new entry-level model for grassroots motorsport and club racing based on the BMW M2 Competition.

The car has now made its race debut on the Nordschleife within the VLN Endurance Championship at the Nürburgring. The car, run by BMW Motorsport, sported a camouflage livery in the six-hour race.

The goal was to put the car through testing under extreme race conditions and prepare it for its outings in the hands of customers from next season. The first cars are scheduled to be delivered to customers in the second quarter of 2020.
