Airspeeder insight into powertrain and systems redundancy

Australia based Airspeeder, which is working on the development of a racing eVTOL quadcopter, is progressing with development of its prototypes for flight testing. Though many of the team have a motorsports background, aircraft have to comply with a host of standards and regulations not present in ground based competition. In this video, David Wareing, lead systems engineer on the project, talks through the approach being taken to ensure factors such as systems redundancy are fully accounted for.
