Ricardo transmissions dominate IMSA GTLM class at Sebring


Ricardo has announced that four of the top six GT Le Mans class (GTLM) finishers in this weekend’s race at Sebring were equipped with its latest generation race transmissions.

Sebring is the second of the three classic races in the premier endurance racing calendar. It follows the season’s curtain raiser, the Daytona 24 hours, and acts as the ultimate preparation for the classic 24 Heures du Mans on 18-19 June. The Sebring International Raceway, located at the site of the former WWII Henricks Army Airfield in south-central Florida, has a well-deserved reputation for its very challenging nature, summed-up succinctly in the industry saying that if a car can last the 12 hours of Sebring, it’s more than Le Mans ready.

Ricardo supplied the majority of the transmissions used for the GTLM class at Sebring, including four of the first six successful finishers.
