After successful re-homologation of the vehicle earlier in 2018, Ricardo has now commenced delivery of new transmissions for the 2019 Japan Super Formula season’s vehicle testing program.

Thanks to revised aerodynamics, the 2019 Super Formula car is expected to be faster than its predecessor. Testing will continue through the second half of 2018 with the competing teams receiving their new Ricardo transmissions in January 2019. As in previous years, Ricardo will continue to support Japan Race Promotion with technical support and spares throughout the 2019 season and beyond.

“This is just the latest milestone in a long and successful partnership with this prestigious and highly competitive Japanese race series, and demonstrates that our capabilities in design, manufacturing and supply chain management are both global in reach and world-class in quality,” said Mark Barge, managing director of Ricardo Performance Products.

“We look forward to working with the organizer, Japan Race Promotion, and the teams of Japan Super Formula in what I am sure will be a very successful 2019 season.”
