CUPRA has created a 13-race sim-racing series with the first race taking place on May 30 ‘at’ the Nürburgring.
Working in partnership with RaceRoom, the official WTCR licensed racing simulator, racing enthusiasts will have until May 24 to trial the circuit in a time-attack session. The fastest 24 will qualify for the multiplayer race and compete on May 30. The season finale will take place on October 31 at Macau, with all races being broadcast live on the CUPRA YouTube channel.
Simulators are being installed in the homes of CUPRA global ambassador and FA Barcelona goalkeeper Marc ter Stegen as well as actor and musician Tom Beck. They will join World Touring Car Champion Jordi Gene, TCR Europe champion Mikel Azcona, and touring car drivers Mikaela Ahlin-Kottulinksy and Sebastian Stahl.
