The sporting and technical regulations for the 2025 FIA World Endurance Championship campaign have been approved by the FIA World Motor Sport Council in Paris, France.
The update enhances the fan experience by replacing leader lights with multi-color LED panels on each side of the cars. These wide-angle displays will show a variety of information, with further details to be announced later.
The homologation period for Hypercar category cars has also been extended by two years until the end of the 2029 season, while the minimum driving time for competitors to score points in FIA WEC races has been reduced from 60 minutes to 45.
Additionally, moving forward, each Hypercar manufacturer must nominate two cars to score points to be counted toward the World Championship.
