IMG has agreed to extend its FIA World Rallycross Championship agreement with Killarney International Raceway until 2021. The World RX of South Africa has staged a round of the championship since 2017.

“I am delighted to confirm that through our partnership with the city of Cape Town, we are extending our presence in South Africa for a further two years,” said Paul Bellamy, senior vice president of Motorsports at IMG.

“World RX has also become one of the biggest dates on the South African sporting calendar and it holds a special place in the hearts of rallycross fans the world over. We look forward to working with the City of Cape Town and their partners to make the event an even bigger success in the coming years.”

This year’s World RX of South Africa will take place on November 9-10 at Killarney International Raceway on the outskirts of Cape Town.
