Peugeot Sport has released a teaser shot of its 9X8 Le Mans Hypercar testing at an undisclosed proving ground.

Although the company has not confirmed its testing schedule, it has revealed that a key target will be confirmation of its simulation and wind tunnel results on track, to ensure it can run a wingless concept reliably.

Speaking to PMW magazine at Le Mans in August, team technical director Olivier Jansonnie confirmed that the team had a number of options available in terms of trim devices. With the rear wing flap being one of the primary tools for balancing a car aerodynamically, its omission means that other solutions need to be found to adapt to changing setup requirements.
