Aston Martin Valkyrie undergoes track testing

Aston Martin has put its hypercar through track tests at Silverstone.

Each verification prototype is subjected to intense testing designed to develop and validate specific performance attributes. Delivery of the first track-only Valkyrie is expected in 2021.

The test programs focus on supporting first customer deliveries of the road-going variant starting in H2 2020. Drives by Max Verstappen and Alex Albon provided a feedback opportunity for Aston Martin’s high-performance development driver, Chris Goodwin, and both Aston Martin and Red Bull Advanced Technologies’ engineering teams.

Goodwin said, “To have three cars now running will see the rate of physical development for this exceptional hypercar increase exponentially. To have that second opinion and validation doesn’t mean the hard work is done already, but this is a great step on our journey.”

Aston Martin plans to build further verification prototypes as development continues for delivery in the second half of this year.
