Cyan Racing has delivered a Volvo P1800 Cyan in GT specification to a customer in Sweden, debuting a number of new features including newly designed wheels, exhaust and interior details.
“Our latest Volvo P1800 Cyan is a further celebration of the iconic GT cars from the 1960s of which the original Volvo P1800 is one of the true heroes,” said Christian Dahl, CEO of Cyan.
“We are glad to make our first delivery to our home country where the car is built and designed, especially to a client which has one of Sweden’s biggest car collections. We are also introducing a number of new features to this car which further adds to the versatility of the Volvo P1800 Cyan,” he added.
The Volvo P1800 Cyan was customized to the client’s specifications in close collaboration with the Cyan team. The final result features a beige metallic exterior, 17in center-lock wheels, a revised exhaust system with twin tips, and a sand-colored leather and fabric interior.
The restoration and modification process took approximately 12-15 months, and was carried out by Cyan’s experienced team of designers, fabricators, engineers and mechanics.
The first Volvo P1800 Cyan was introduced in 2020 as a track-inspired homage, while the first GT version debuted in 2024. Designed for an inspiring yet comfortable drive, the GT version features a unique damper and differential setup, a different roll cage, a newly designed carbon fiber prop shaft and increased level of sound-deadening material.
The car maintains a weight close to 1,000kg, which has been achieved through the use of high-strength steel and carbon fiber.
The 2.0l turbocharged four-cylinder engine is available in a various configurations, with customers having selected power outputs ranging from 350hp and 420hp. This particular Volvo P1800 Cyan GT was equipped with a 420hp configuration, paired with a bespoke five-speed Holinger gearbox for precision and driver feedback.
