Dealing with race radio licences around the world can be a major headache for race teams, but Autotel’s new Race 455 PTT Over Cellular Race Car System looks set to change all that by giving teams licence-free race communications over short or long range in the UK, Europe or worldwide using the data capability of GSM, 3G and 4G mobile phone networks to transmit voice communications. The unit’s range is only limited by the availability of a suitable 3G mobile network, so units can be hundreds or even thousands of kilometres apart. Richard Palmer, Managing Director at Autotel, explains more.
