Though CFD is increasingly the go-to tool for aerodynamic development, wind tunnels remain a staple when it comes to validating aerodynamic performance for teams with the required resources. In this video, Wouter Remmerie of CFD specialist AirShaper provides an introductory overview looking at the history of wind tunnels, the commonly used layouts and the individual elements of a tunnel, along with the pros and cons of different setups.
