Resonic GmbH specialise in measurement technologies for mass properties such (inertia tensor, COG and mass). The company is exhibiting its all-new 2000F measurement tool for full vehicles up to 2000kg at Professional MotorSport World Expo 2015. Resonic states that the rig portability and high accuracy with a simple efficient operation.

Unlike conventional rigs, 2000F requires only a single horizontal setup and uses very small accelerations. As a result, the test object is held in place by its own weight and does not need to be clamped down. Despite its small size, 2000F covers a wide range of objects with the help of different adapters: from engines and motorcycles to large rally cars.

After an initial excitation – by hand or by pneumatic actuators in the fully automated version – the platform vibrates freely and without friction in five degrees of freedom at once. The software records the free vibrations for about 30 seconds and then immediately computes the full mass properties.

Resonic say that the 2000F is small and easy to transport and thus uniquely suited for on-site measurements, saving valuable time in the testing phase of new models.

Resonic GmbH can be found on Professional MotorSport World Expo stand #7062
