MSA opens tender for British Kart Championship

The Motor Sports Association (MSA) has launched a tender process for the organisation and promotion of the three MSA British Kart Championships from 2018 onwards.

In the tender document the association has produced, the governing body is seeking interested parties to run and promote the MSA British Kart Championship, MSA British Junior Kart Championship and MSA British Cadet Kart Championship for a minimum period of three years from 1 January 2018.

For all three Championships, the MSA maintains the rights to select and mandate from time to time the engines and tires to be used. The current mandated engines and tires for the championships up for tender are:

• MSA British Kart Championship: OK-Vortex (2018 only) and tire to be decided

• MSA British Junior Kart Championship: OKJ-Vortex (2018 only) and tire to be decided

• MSA British Cadet Kart Championship: IAME and Dunlop (both 2018 & 2019)

A tenderer may also include proposals to organise and promote the MSA Short Circuit

Gearbox Championship at its option. 

Submissions should be delivered to the MSA by no later than 12.00 (noon) on 14 July 2017, marked for the attention of Sheila Barter, executive office services manager.
