Toyota Gazoo Racing has announced that it will compete with the Lexus LC in the Nürburgring 24 Hour Endurance Race for the third year running. The team has competed in every race since 2007, using race cars built by Toyota employees and raced by a team of Toyota mechanics and engineers.

With unavoidable pit stops limiting results at Nürburgring for the past two years, the company hopes to use what it has learnt from previous race experience with the LC to complete the 2020 race without any reliability issues.

Toyota will also employ a variety of new technologies, including a newly developed V8 twin-turbo engine destined for use on future road cars. The team will compete with experienced drivers Hiroaki Ishiura, Masahiro Sasaki, Kazuya Oshima and Naoya Gamo.
