McLaren Applied has announced the acquisition of the three-star level in the FIA environmental accreditation framework for demonstrating strong leadership in environmental management.

“McLaren Applied was born out of traditional motorsports, but we’re fully committed to a sustainability mindset,” commented Samir Maha, business director, McLaren Applied. “We’re proud to have so many leaders in our team that are working together to achieve our sustainability targets, and we’re pleased to see that the FIA recognises their efforts.”

To achieve three-star accreditation, the company demonstrated best practice and a commitment to continued improvement through the implementation of an environmental management system.

The FIA Environmental Accreditation Program is aimed at helping motorsport and mobility stakeholders worldwide to measure and enhance their environmental performance, providing stakeholders with a three-level framework against which to accredit activities.
