The British GP at Silverstone last weekend was kept free from unwanted drones by Coptrz, which was chosen to use its array of technologies to detect any non-planned drone activity and report it to the organizers.

The technology is able to detect everything from details of a drone’s model, serial number, course, speed and altitude, to information about the operator.

Steve Coulson, founder and managing director at Coptrz, said, “It was great to be able to provide our services to the Formula 1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Coptrz are able to come into events and provide a complete drone detection solution while syncing with current security protocols.”
