Earlier this month, Team De Rooy took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the Truck Class of the Rallye OiLibya Maroc earlier this month.

The Team De Rooy Iveco Powerstar 4×4 of Federico Villagra, Adrian Yacopini and Ricardo Torlaschi not only won the Truck Class but also the overall Open/SSV classification. Two other Team De Rooy Iveco Powerstar 4x4s took 2nd and 3rd places in the Truck Class, finishing 4th and 6th overall in the Open/SSV classification.

Team De Rooy chose standard Goodyear 375/90R22.5 Offroad ORD truck tires for the race; ready to take on the extreme challenges of 1,800 kilometers across Morocco on Africa’s biggest cross-country rally.

“The Goodyear Offroad ORD tires were unquestionably a significant factor in our success in this event,” said Henk Van Leuven, Manager of Team De Rooy. “We thank Goodyear and their engineers for their work ensuring that we have both the ideal tires and the best set up for this event; as they have done supporting our previous successes.”

The long and successful partnership between Goodyear and Team De Rooy continues. This follows intense development work with engineers from the Goodyear Innovation Centre Luxembourg ensuring that all trucks have the optimum set-up.

“We congratulate Team De Rooy on winning the truck class of the Rallye OiLibya Maroc and are very proud that our tires have helped them achieve not only a further victory but also a clean sweep of the podium,” added Benjamin Willot, Marketing Director Commercial EMEA, for Goodyear Dunlop.
