Maple Grove Raceway up for sale

Mape Grove Raceway, a quarter-mile dragstrip located near Mohnton, Pennsylvania, has been put up for sale.

The strip, which opened in 1962, is currently owned by the family of founder Alfred Stauffer, but has now been listed for sale, along with campground facilities, parking, residential rentals, office and event buildings, outbuildings and racing equipment.

The Stauffer family has cited a desire to pursue other personal interests as the reason for the sale, and claims to want to see the venue grow and progress under new ownership.

Opened as Maple Grove Park Drag-O-Way in 1962, Maple Grove Raceway has grown to become an all-concrete quarter-mile, NHRA-sanctioned facility hosting the Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals each September.

The strip will remain open and operational while a new owner is sought.
