Opel unveils all-electric rally car

Opel has become the first vehicle manufacturer to offer an electric car for customer rally sport. The Corsa-e Rally will compete in the ADAC Opel e-Rally Cup.

Set to begin in summer 2020, 15 of Opel’s pioneering electric cars are planned for the race series.

The car has been engineered to produce 130ps and 260Nm of torque from a standstill. The car boasts range of 330km (WLTP) and fast-charging to 80% of battery capacity in just 30 minutes.

Available from Opel Motorsport, the Corsa-e Rally will cost less than €50,000 (US$55,000).
