Gen2 FIA Formula E car unveiled

Ahead of its public debut at the 2018 Geneva Motorsport, the FIA’s Formula E championship has released a video of its all-new Gen2 competition car.

Set to debut in season five of the all-electric championship, the car will mark a step change in the championship; ushering in more performance and driving range. Drivers will now no longer be required to change cars half way through races, whilst the increase in battery power is set to dramatically increase the car’s straight line speeds.

The biggest changes, however, are visual with the car blending the lines between Formula and closed-wheel competition cars further than anything before.
