Cascadia Motion, a wholly owned BorgWarner company, designs and manufactures electrified vehicle (EV and HEV) propulsion system components for specialty vehicle applications. Cascadia offers standard catalog products, modified standard, and fully bespoke custom power electronic components, inverters, motors, gear reduction assemblies, and integrated assemblies (e.g. motor + gearbox + inverter). Applications in professional motorsport include Formula One ERS (since 2009 season, serving 3 teams this season), bespoke hillclimb races, LMP prototypes, FIM MOTO-E motorcycle series, FIA eTCR race series, and many others. The company also works in on-road vehicle propulsion, primarily in the hypercar segment for ultra-performance road vehicles, more mundane on-road and off-road vehicles, and in commercial/heavy vehicle applications where our very high power densities are advantageous. The company has substantial experience with Si IGBT, Si FET, SiC, and GaN power technologies and provides standard and/or custom products in all these technologies.
