Silicon Sensing was formed 10 years ago to make miniature motion sensors available to the demanding high-volume automotive markets. Its gyros are now at the heart of Electronic Stability Control systems in more than 15 million consumer car- and truck braking systems.

Silicon MEMS gyros have a patented construction giving them a vital attribute in the motorsport market – an outstanding robustness to the effects of shock and vibration. They are widely used throughout the motorsport market, from F1 to IndyCar, in testing and in race configuration, in applications ranging from dynamics testing, car setup and suspension management, to stability control.

CRS05, a single-axis gyro, is used extensively throughout F1 and other motorsport sectors. With high-temperature operation, automotive approvals and built-in test, it is an ideal general purpose gyro.

DMU01 is a six-degree of freedom, temperature-compensated inertial measurement system which has been used with great success in IndyCar and related series, where its role in setting up race cars propelled the team to the front of the grid this year.

DMU02 is a new, all-digital miniature inertial sensor, offering impressive performance in a small, simple-to-use package. It is already winning plaudits from system designers in a range of applications.
