Hirschmann, with its wide range of products, has since 1957 been a partner of the machine building- and aerospace industries, and in particular of sports car manufacturing. Workshops mill and erode parts for motorsport using Hirschmann’s clamping- and handling systems and rotary tables.
In motorsport circles Hirschmann is also well known for its rod ends and spherical bearings. Automotive manufacturers like Audi, BMW, Porsche and Volkswagen, and especially their motorsport departments, count on Hirschmann’s reliability and innovation, as do suppliers of racing components such as Bilstein, Heggemann, Magna Steyr, Pankl, Sachs Racing and TEG.
Hirschmann develops solutions for the special requirements of motorsport in close collaboration with its customers. Many different materials and friction pairings are used. Not even extremely complicated housing geometries, into which the bearings have to be integrated, deter Hirschmann’s specialists. Sealing against dirt, dust and splash water is a further specialty because as a producer of seals, Hirschmann has know-how in this field.
All products are manufactured using the latest and most reliable production methods, and are subject to quality assurance measures according to the aviation industry standard EN 9100, which includes the DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 both during production and at the product stage.
Hirschmann advises and delivers worldwide through its own employees, subsidiaries or representations.
